Research in paediatric intracranial pressure

Akudziwe is a medical doctor with an interest in further training in paediatric neurosurgery. Akudziwe is currently undertaking research in conditions associated with paediatric intracranial hypertension under the supervision of Natalie Voets, Ravi Purohit, and Tim Lawrence.

Akudziwe is researching the use of non-invasive transorbital imaging modalities, primarily optical coherence tomography (OCT), to diagnose and follow up children with intracranial hypertension. She is also exploring the use of these imaging modalities in assessing the features of the intracranial pressure waveform.
