Biography
Before joining NDCN in November 2024, I was the Senior Research Manager for the Neuroscience, Ethics, and Society team in the Department of Psychiatry. In this capacity, I delivered strategic oversight and operational leadership, ensuring successful project execution and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration. Additionally, I led the design and implementation of the Patient and Public Involvement, Engagement, and Participation (PPIEP) strategy for the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre as PPIEP Manager.
Prior to this, I conducted seven years of postdoctoral research on retinal development in Prof. William Harris's lab after completing my doctorate in developmental neuroscience under Prof. Anna Philpott’s mentorship, both at the University of Cambridge.

Strategic Initiatives Lead
I oversee and support research governance across three key domains: Research Governance, Information Governance, and Trusted Research. My goal is to create an environment where researchers can thrive, knowing they have the support and guidance needed to navigate complex governance landscapes.
Research Governance
I work closely with the University MS IDREC and Sponsorship teams to support researchers in meeting governance requirements for studies involving human participants, ensuring that NDCN’s research activities align with best practices and comply with all required regulations.
Information Governance
I oversee the design and implementation of NDCN’s information governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. My responsibilities include:
- Developing robust information security policies to support effective and compliant research delivery,
- Advocating for best practices in research data management and information security, and
- Addressing information incidents by identifying root causes and implementing mitigation strategies.
Trusted Research
I provide guidance and support for international research collaborations, working alongside Research Services colleagues to identify, address, and manage security risks related to research collaborations outside the UK.
