Research Nurse

Research Nurse - MS Trials Team MS Trials Team Website

I am the lead research nurse in the Multiple Sclerosis Trials Unit. I have over 30 years of experience working in Neurology, initially on the neurology ward and then subspecializing as an Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nurse. I am passionate about research and proud to have joined the MS Trials Unit when it was first set up by Professor Palace over 20 years ago.  I have experience in all types and phases of commercial and non-commercial trials, help manage Tissue Banks and support research fellows with their projects. More recently we have added NMOSD, MOGAD and myasthenia gravis and congenital myasthenia to disease repertoire.

In the constantly changing world of research, I have actively promoted innovative solutions and adaptations to clinical research work/processes. I am keen to educate and support permanent staff members – nurses, doctors, administrators and visiting researchers and to foster external collaborations with other research units and clinical teams. I am keen to promote research among patients and have organised several Patient Information Days.
