Bernd Taschler
Postdoctoral Researcher
My main research interests include population level modelling, questions of causality and inference methods in high-dimensional neuroimaging data (both in terms of large sample sizes and large numbers of variables).
I am part of the FMRIB Analysis group led by Steve Smith and work closely with Tom Nichols and member of his NISOx group. Prior to coming to Oxford I was a postdoc in Sach Mukherjee's group at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Bonn.
Causality in neuroimaging
Mendelian randomisation, Bayesian networks, bias, assumptions, GWAS data and imaging derived phenotypes.
Longitudinal and population modelling
Brain age prediction, modelling of confounds, UK Biobank.
