Celia Sourd

PhD

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Celia’s background is in biochemistry and biotherapy, with a specific focus towards gene therapy. She completed her MSc in the University of Limoges (France) in 2018, gaining experience in CRISPR-based gene editing. She then did her PhD at Genethon (Evry, France) where she worked on the development of innovative gene therapy and gene editing strategies for a muscular gene disorder using Adeno-Associated Viruses (AAV) vectors.

Celia is now a member of Dr Kanmin Xue’s laboratory group, where her work will be focused on validating gene therapy strategies for Retinitis Pigmentosa diseases, as well as investigating immune responses against AAV vectors.
