MSc, BSc (Hons)
Previously, the Becker group identified the dominant gene mutations in GRM1 (encodes metabotropic glutamate receptor 1) that are associated with Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 44 (SCA44). My DPhil project aims to elucidate how this mutation affects cerebellar development and function, with a particular focus on Purkinje cells.
I am currently a DPhil student supervised by Prof Esther Becker. Before starting my DPhil, I completed my BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours. I then completed the MSc in Clinical and Therapeutic Neurosciences at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.
