I am a Clinical Neurosciences DPhil student in the Retinal Disease and Repair Lab under the supervision of Dr. Kanmin Xue. My work focuses on understanding the interplay between the blood-retinal barrier, immune system and neuroinflammation in the context of complex retinal diseases, namely non-infectious uveitis and age-related macular degeneration. This work is in parallel with researching novel biological and genetic therapies to treat these diseases.
