COVID-19 and the Brain
We want to understand what COVID-19 does to the brain
- Have you avoided the infection?
- Have you had COVID-19 in the past but no symptoms now?
You could be eligible to take part in BBB-COVID or BBB-VR, research studies assessing the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the brain. We are seeking healthy volunteers who have not had COVID-19 or had it in the past but are symptom free and do not suffer from LONG COVID 19.
You would undergo a brain scan, some questionnaires and some tests of your mental agility if eligible for BBB-COVID study or cycle on an exercise bike in 'virtual reality' if eligible for BBB-Virtual Reality study.
You would need to visit on one occasion taking a total of 2 1/2 hours.
Travel and parking expenses would be reimbursed and we will also pay you £20 for participation.
If you are interested in participating, please contact: Luciana Maffei, University of Oxford, breatheoxford@fmrib.ox.ac.uk
