The University and colleges are doing more than ever to increase the number of promising postgraduate students from under-represented groups at Oxford.

Read about the University's schemes to increase the number of postgraduate students from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds at Oxford.

These include:

  • UNIQ+, the flagship graduate access programme aimed at talented undergraduates who would find continuing to postgraduate study a challenge for reasons other than their academic ability
  • Wellcome Biomedical Vacation Scholarships provide promising undergraduates with experience of research

As also outlined on our 'How to Apply' page, we are proud that our programmes are participating in ‘Black Academic Futures’ via the Medical Sciences Division's guarantee of at least 10 places per year across its doctoral programmes for the next four years' intakes of DPhil students.
