Finance Committee (PDF)

The Finance Committee has a remit to provide oversight of Department finances and make recommendations to the Head of Department, Strategy Group, and Senior Management Group about opportunities for growth, development, improving financial sustainability, and administration of the financial activities of NDCN.  

People and Culture Oversight Group (PDF)

The People & Culture Oversight Group has a remit to drive action to develop a positive workplace culture and research environment by advising the Head of Department, Strategy Group, and Senior Management Group on departmental People and Culture strategy, agreeing and reviewing strategic objectives, and providing oversight and coordination of the People & Culture Working Groups as well as other groups undertaking activities to support NDCN’s People and Culture strategy.

Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team (PDF)

The Athena SWAN scheme recognises the importance of ensuring gender equality in scientific career advancement. Following the department’s previous Silver Award, the Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team (AS SAT) has a remit to implement the Athena SWAN action plan and to prepare for the next application.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group (PDF)

The EDI Working Group has a remit to develop, implement and monitor a strategic plan to improve EDI within the Department.

Research Culture Working Group (PDF)

The Research Culture Working Group has a remit to develop, monitor, and implement improvements in departmental research culture. The Working Group will advise the Head of Department, Strategy Group, and Senior Management Group on issues such as collegiality, recognition, career pathways, research integrity, and open research.

Clinical Neurosciences Society (PDF)

The Clinical Neurosciences Society (CNS) has a remit to promote educational, developmental, and social events for everyone in NDCN. The CNS membership will include members from all divisions and representing all groups in NDCN (PSS, research and academic staff, students, medical support staff).

Graduate Studies Committee (PDF)

The Graduate Studies Committee has a remit to ensure that NDCN graduate study programmes are run and managed to the highest standard delivering teaching and research excellence. The committee is responsible for ensuring that University policies and procedures are adhered to and that appropriate departmental policies and procedures are developed as required.

The Engagement & Impact Committee has a remit to advise the Head of Department, Strategy Group, and Senior Management Group on engagement and impact matters. The Committee aims to ensure that NDCN maintains a high-quality engagement strategy reflecting the world leading research across the department and maximising opportunities for NDCN research to shape culture, business, policy, and clinical practice.

Green Impact Team (Join Microsoft Team with code d2ay5jp)

Green Impact is an award-winning programme that breaks down the often complex world of sustainability into practical steps that staff and students can take to improve sustainable practice within their building, department or college. The NDCN team work to implement initiatives that align with the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy, earning points towards a final award level.

Open Data and Information Governance Working Group

The Open Data & Information Security Working Group is a special working group convened in the 2021-2022 academic year in order to identify priority areas for NDCN relating to open data and information governance.

Women in Clinical Neuroscience

The Women in Clinical Neuroscience Network (WICN) was established in 2021 with money from the University of Oxford Diversity Fund to empower and support female clinical academics in NDCN to progress their clinical academic careers.
