departmental seminars
The Departmental Seminar Series is given by NDCN's Associate Professors. There is usually one every month, on a Thursday, and it includes a sandwich lunch. All are welcome.
thomas willis day
This is an annual event usually held in May. It's our chance to celebrate the work of our Department over the previous year, marking our successes in research, teaching and public engagement. There is a postgraduate poster competition, departmental prizes, a guest lecture and a drinks reception.
new starters lunch
You'll be invited to this termly lunch by the Head of Department. It's your chance to get to know other new starters, as well as key support staff. There is also a leaflet library - you can pick up information about all sorts of services.
Early career researcher seminars
This popular termly event is organised by early career researchers. It's an informal, friendly space in which to talk about your work, and there is usually pizza!
end of year event
There is an end of year celebration every Michaelmas Term for staff and students, usually in the Examination Schools. Expect good food, a bar, dancing and entertainment!
Clinical Neurosciences Society
The Clinical Neurosciences Society (CNS) is our staff society. It supports training, fundraising and social events to promote an inclusive workplace.
summer party
The annual summer party is a family-friendly occasion, usually held at William Osler House on the JR site. The sun always seems to shine on the barbecue, bouncy castle, face painting and cash bar!
