- NDCN reception is open 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.00 for university card collection queries, please email facilities@ndcn.ox.ac.uk. Please wait until you have received an email from HR stating your card is ready for collection.
- Details of how to access your computer and the departmental network in addition to information about your Single Sign-On (SSO), which grants you access to the University's IT facilities, including email.
When you receive your contract, please read through it carefully to understand the terms and conditions of your new post. If you have any questions you can contact our HR Team. Details of your employment will be outlined in your Contract and Statement of terms and conditions of employment.

meeting your team
Next, you will be welcomed by your new line manager and/or team; we have created a checklist to ensure you get all the information you need.
inductions
NDCN New Starter Inductions are dependent on locations, activities and duration of stay. The facilities team ensure staff, students and academic visitors are directed to the appropriate building administrators who will carry out a fire safety induction, orientation and will provide swipe card access within the first week of joining. All buildings have their own local inductions; with tailored onboarding processes which reflect the nature of the work undertaken while meeting regulatory and legal requirements.
Logging on
Your Oxford Single Sign-On (SSO) account gives you access to multiple services.
Accessing your emails
Once your SSO is set-up, you can access your emails and calendar with this quick-start guide.
Accessing the network
Once your University card has been issued, you will be able to apply for a MSD IT Network account so that you can log on to a PC and access shared drives. Check with your line manager or the HR team to see if they have already requested this for you.
