Working with the media

Contact communications@ndcn.ox.ac.uk as early as possible to discuss any news you may have (such as a noteworthy paper or significant grant).

Your news item may be issued as a press release, written up for the NDCN website, or published online (for example on the Oxford Science Blog, Medium channel, or in The Conversation).

Read advice from the University's Public Affairs Directorate on communicating your research.

Social Media

Share your news

NDCN currently has profiles on Twitter/X, BlueSky and LinkedIn which are managed by the Communications team.

We use these channels to:

  • Raise awareness of NDCN research
  • Celebrate the achievements of staff and students
  • Publicise study opportunities and courses

Please get in contact via communications@ndcn.ox.ac.uk or tag NDCN in your post if you'd like us to share your news.

We also collaborate with other departments and the central University Social Media team to create content for their channels, which include TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

This content is usually around specific news releases or topical awareness days. Please get in touch with communications@ndcn.ox.ac.uk if you have an idea for a social media project!
