BRAND and style
NDCN logo
The departmental logo should be used (usually in conjunction with the University of Oxford logo*) on all departmental documents.
There are different file types for digital and print, and for use on white or coloured backgrounds. If you are not sure which version of the logos you need, please ask.
House style
We follow the University's house style on this website and all external communications materials. The University style guide is intended to assist staff in writing and formatting documents on behalf of the University with consistency.
the Oxford logo
The primary Oxford University logo is the square logo. The University has registered the Logo and the constituent parts of the Logo as trade marks.
*Please note that the University logo and guidelines were updated in 2024 and you should use these new guidelines and files from now on.
University visual identity guidelines
If the proposed Logo use is not used by the University, then it should only take place if the University has granted a licence. Please see the guidance on protecting the University logo.

Design
Canva is a useful free online tool for creating effective designs from social media graphics to powerpoint presentations.
The NDCN comms team can advise on the design of simple programmes, digital graphics and flyers. Please contact communications@ndcn.ox.ac.uk with details of your request and timescales.
You may need to enlist the services of an external design agency. Please contact communications@ndcn.ox.ac.uk for a list of recommended designers.
When producing materials yourself or externally, please bear in mind that you must adhere to the University brand guidelines.
The communications team will be happy to review any materials for you, either those produced by yourself or an external designer. If in doubt, please ask.
Print
For simple posters (eg internal study volunteer recruitment) you can print your item on your local office printer.
For larger print jobs, you can use the University Print Studio or the Medical Informatics Unit
