Evan presents at the Association of British Neurologists conference
Our PhD student Evan Edmond presented his work at the annual ABN conference, held virtually this year. He studied people who have amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/motor neurone disease and healthy people who carry high-risk genes for this disease.
By integrating structural, functional, and neurochemical data from various techniques, we build up an understanding of brain motor network function. This work explores factors unique to pre-symptomatic vs. established disease aim to identify the earliest disease processes.
In future, this may allow this disease to be diagnosed and treated at the earliest possible stage.
